VFX Post Could Be Better
VFX Post teams should be able to utilize a common set of tools and procedures seamlessly and effortlessly, without getting bogged down in unnecessary new-fangled tools.
Right now, every production tend to begin with a new flavor of FileMaker and a bunch of Excel Sheets that aren’t connected. This results not only in lost productivity, but also multiple problems in miscommunication.
We propose that all VFX Crew have a shared knowledge base and toolset. Producers and Supervisors should be able to pick teams and tools with the confidence that everyone knows how to use them already.
